BON VOYAGE MY FRIENDS ✈
Searching for H-8.
Walking, walking, walking.
There it is. Tucked away in a far corner.
I meander through the sea of travelers
hoping to see my final stop up in lights.
As I searched for confirmation,
I noticed an unfamiliar sound.
Who are these people?
Where are they going?
I could not understand them.
They were clustered in companionship.
Their language was a chorus of unfamiliar sounds;
a rhythmic noise filling up the entire space.
I turned around in wonder.
Their eyes, hair, skin;
their clothing, bags, and belongings
were all colorful accessories –
a clue into their origin and culture.
Can they see my curiousness?
Do they know that I am the one that doesn’t belong?
I watched them in utter amazement.
Oh, how I wished I understood what they were saying.
Before long, their destination was called.
In organized chaos, they migrated towards the door.
One by one they disappeared into the designated portal;
each of them peeling away a layer of their unique chorus.
Then, within minutes, there was quiet,
and I was left alone with my English speaking thoughts
and my familiar belongings.
Recognizable conversations began to surround me.
I was settling into a rhythm I had grown accustomed to.
As I anticipated my own departure,
I couldn’t help but think about my foreign comrades.
People from a far-away place,
sharing the same space at the same time with little me.
Bon Voyage my friends. Safe travels!
IN A SECOND. .
Life as you know it, comes to an abrupt halt.
Plans are erased – schedules cancelled.
In a millisecond; life stops.
Then you open your eyes.
Where am I?
What just happened?
Am I alright?
That moment is inconceivable.
The fragility of life. . . precious, exquisite.
No one wants to think this will happen to them, but it can.
It happened to me yesterday.
Please. . . come to terms with your faith.
Make peace with God.
Then live each day with Gratitude and Love. ♡
Today we celebrate the very first president of the United States.
An incredible man who helped establish the first free country on earth.
That freedom, however, did not come without a fight.
The history of this country is fascinating and unbelievable.
Many fearless men and women gave up their lives in the name of freedom.
Each year on the third Monday in February, we celebrate George Washington, and the 42 other men who would be President.
George Washington, and his fellow pioneers, believed in less government and more freedom for men to work hard, practice their faith, and raise a family in a country that encourages growth and prosperity. Although we are loosing site of his vision, I believe in the few honorable men and women who are collectively keeping this country alive. I also believe that one day, a fresh, principled, and conservative leader will rise from amongst us and lead this country back to where it belongs:
Freedom to life, liberty, and the PURSUIT of happiness.
A friend once told me:
“I need to be careful – what I choose to dwell on.
So very often, what I focus on, comes true.”
What does one say in response to such a
powerful proclamation? Not much.
After she spoke, we sat quietly.
Her words searching for a place to settle
in our consciousness. . .
I’m not sure they ever have.
I remember those words every time
my thoughts become a bit obsessive.
How much power do our minds really have
over our lives?
Quite a bit, I’m afraid.
As you fall into a peaceful slumber tonight;
allow thoughts of peace and possibility fill you.
As your body rests – your mind will dream! ♡
THANK YOU ✿
I want to extend my heart-felt gratitude to the
9th grade girls at Penn Trafford High School.
You were sweet, considerate, warm, and honest.
Your comments, after the program, warmed my heart.
Please, girls, remember how incredibly precious you are,
and how beautiful you are when you smile.
Thank you ♡
PENN TRAFFORD HIGH SCHOOL
I will be re-visiting the Penn Trafford High School tomorrow; February 11, 2014.
I am looking forward to spending time with the beautiful young ladies in the 9th grade.
Their Principal, Staff, and student body make me feel so very welcome.
THANK YOU ♡
There are 86,400 seconds in a day.
Taking 2 of them to say “Thank You” to someone will be one of the greatest gifts you can give.
Showing our gratitude isn’t just a social formality.
It is an act of kindness all its own.
I say: ‘THANK YOU’ today to you. . . .
just for taking the time to read this.
Hope you have a wonderful day! ♡
STAINED GLASS LIGHT ✞
The brilliant kaleidoscope of color
is reflecting throughout the church.
Magical sparkly colors are blanketing
over everything and everyone inside.
Tilting my face up to the light fills me with awe and wonder.
Am I shining too? Is God’s love filling my soul?
I feel weightless.
Closing my eyes – I feel as though I am floating. ✞
Have faith that God’s light has power.
He can and will illuminate your soul
if you believe that he can.
If you take that first step with confidence,
he will show you the way.
Faith + Light + Confidence + Determination = Triumph ♡
What have I done?
What should I do?
What is going to happen now?
The inner turmoil following a regrettable decision –
✑ disappointing, haunting, agonizing.
Take in a long deep breath.
Own up to your mistake.
Make it right if you can.
Learn from it.
Promise yourself to never cross that line again.
Then. . . . . forgive yourself. ♡
“You can never make a mistake twice.
The second time – is a choice.”
GOOD THINGS ARE COMING ✿
It is often painful and many times – confusing.
Where do I go from here?
Allow the chips to fall.
Accept its finality.
Give yourself time to breath, then. . . . .
listen to the signs;
they will present themselves when you least expect them.
There may be an inexplainable meeting,
a strange comment or an unexpected opportunity.
There it will lie, within the commotion of your day,
the directions to your next chapter.
These messages are often subtle little changes in your routine; but they are most definitely there.
Trust in the universe and trust in God.
When you have faith – faith will guide you to
exactly where you were meant to be. ♡
note: This has happened to me several times in my life. When I felt as though I couldn’t breath another breath, I gave myself a chance to heal and then I began to pray. The more I prayed the clearer my new path became and as I began to believe in the signs, everything became so obvious to me. “Yes!” “This is where I am supposed to be.” Each discovery brought more peace into my life; and calm into my soul.
